Competition Theme

Growth

The theme “GROWTH” was chosen for the 2023 theme as it is empowering, strengths based and entirely innovating.

The theme for this year’s Art Competition was decided following a consultation session with students from a local post primary school in Donegal, Loreto Letterkenny.

Jigsaw staff held an interactive session with a group of students from Loreto Letterkenny to discuss their understanding of mental health, what hurts and what helps our mental health and the young people were then tasked with pitching ideas for what they thought would be a new exciting theme for the art competition.

The consultation group showcased many suggested themes that were then shared with Jigsaw Donegal’s Youth Advocates for a final decision. Youth Advocates came to the decision to choose “GROWTH” as the new theme for this year’s Art Competition.
