Two Mind your Melon Community Orchards,  developed and planted by young people, have opened in Falcarragh and Pettigo with further locations to be added in coming months.

We are absolutely delighted to announce the launch of our new exciting Art Competition 2023. If you are a Transition Year, 5th or 6th Year student, attend Youthreach or equivalent education programme in Donegal then you are eligible to enter. The theme for this year’s art competition is “Growth.” You can be in with a chance of winning top prizes, having your art work displayed in Jigsaw Donegal’s Hub for a whole year and on top of that selected entries will be showcased at an Art Exhibition in January 2024 at An Grianan Theatre.

The competition opens on Thursday 26th October 5pm and all entries must be submitted by Thursday 14th December 5pm.

The Mind your Melon Photo Competition encouraged young people from across the county to capture photos of their favourite place or landscape in Donegal. Taking a moment to focus on what is going on in nature around us can have a very positive impact on your well-being. The competition received over 300 entries from young people right across the county. Congratulations to all who entered the competition.
